Thank you all for coming and all the facebook, email, sms or how ever you managed to congrats me :)
I had a splendid day, didn’t have time to talk to you all long enough, I think there was at one point 40 odd people there. I do hope that you all managed to get a bounce, eat enough and drink.
The last few days before were a bit depressing since everywhere I called the companies couldn’t provide me with a bouncy castle on the day. But two days before I found a company who honestly did’t sound like they would pull through on the day, they did and we all managed to have 6 hours or so of fun.
One thing I forgot to say when I posted this the first time around. When the bouncy castle was up, the general mood of the day was happy and joking. Talking about what you did as a kid, if you have seen the new play ground in the park etc. Then when the bouncy castle was taken down the conversion become all about tax, politics and war. So if you have a birthday coming up do get a bouncy castle, you will …

Today I was doing a spot of DIY, since we had a leak from upstairs and it rotted our carpet in the toilet. So a few weeks back I removed the carpet and found the old lino which only covered half of the floor. Today I went to B&Q and got some self adhesive lino squares, to stick on top, simple job. Yes I know it took me some time to get started, but the toilet wasn’t broken and a floor is a floor, ok I’m lazy :)
I had to remove the old lino flooring first along with some of the old nails that was holding down the carpet. Which was very easy, though some of the old tiles below cracked even more than they were. That shouldn’t cause any problems while laying the lino on top.
While pulling the old lino off I had a little surprise. We all have pulled off the old wall paper and found a few layers under which had reviled the previous owners splendid taste. While doing DIY elsewhere I have found old notes on how to solve a problem while building the house in the first place or old news papers from times gone …

Was at the moving pictures yesterday and saw the latest collaboration between PIXAR and Disney called UP. Simply loved it really it lived up to the reputation of these companies.
It was good to see 3D really working. Though it only worked where the screen were, so you got this big 3D thing zooming at you, but as soon as it is outside the screen area it was gone. So it would only really work on a screen that fills your whole field of view. The last time I watched 3D was when you could make your own glasses with green and read candy wrapper, not the best result but it was fun.
What got me onto thinking about this post, was the intro that PIXAR always use with the Luxo Jr. their so to speak logo. Haven’t you ever wondered what happened after Luxo Jr. jumped onto the I in PIXAR and squashed it flat ?
Well to the rescue came CollegeHumor with a plausibly explanation :)

… make you dream more ?
Around 2 months ago Peli’s mum gave us a pot of Dream Cream from Lush, thank you. Don’t get me wrong it is a very good cream and I have used too, but not as much as Peli.
Over the last 2 months Peli dreams have become very interactive and have kept me awake. Either by her moving around in bed or talking to me, which she denies. Tonight was a very typical one …
P: mumble need some salad mumbleH: eh ?P: and there is a wolf too mumbleH: what are you on about ?P: I don’t know
Then she sits up in bed and goes “I don’t know” again and crawls out of bed to open the window. And comes back to bed looking at me, not understanding why the heck I’m laughing my head off.
