The last few miles of a wonderful first ride of the year got ruined by a plonker. And now, after some hours thinking about what happened yesterday, I know that we should maybe have acted differently, since now it is too late. And I honestly can’t be arsed since the work from our side will be a lot and with some banging our heads against the wall for little effect towards the plonker. Such is the system today.
Here is a little background on why I did what I did last night. I ride in a zen-like way and don’t let others egg me on, because when I’ve arrived at my destination I really don’t want to spend time calming down again. Because my work and my friends do not want to hear me ranting along about the bad behaviour of some stupid plonker of a driver, pedestrian or cyclist.
So yesterday we had a day out with great friends and a beautiful ride and were on our way over to some good friends for a cup of tea and cake. This great day I was not in mood to be ruined because of some plonker with no road sense. So therefore …

This comic made me think about the people I see in Richmond park very weekend.

If you can afford to strap your bling bicycle to you car, which quite often is bling too, why are you driving to a park inside London. And not outside London, say to the Surrey Hills or even further afield to do your afternoon ride.
And Richmond Park isn’t that far away from most of London so why not ride to the park. If the park is too far away for you to ride then you are closer to many other places around London that is nicer to ride to than Richmond Park.
Go figure.

… for a old game.
Why do they still call it cricket ? Honestly how many cricket have you see at a game of cricket, probably less than the amount of sticks you see at a test match *).
12 in total, if you count the wicket 5 each end plus the 2 sticks that both of the bats men are carrying around.
So here by this game is now called Sticket.
*) ohh don’t get me started on the test matches, I know it is one of these sports that only a person who have been born into it understand, but over the last year I have been submitted to a lot of cricket and somewhat come to have a wee bit of an interest in the game, but what’s gets me still though is … when are they really going to play a game ? as they only seem to play a test matches, what would happen if they really tried ?

The post man handed me today 4 low energy light bulbs today.
2 x 60W and 2 x 75W, all baronet fittings no screw fittings. All our light fitting which got baronet fittings does have a low energy light bulb in them already.
But not light in the kitchen with 3 screw fittings which is missing 2 light bulbs. Because all the spare light bulbs we have have baronet fittings along with the ones we just got given by EDF.
So it looks like we have to go out and spend money :(

… the fear of time.
Over the last few months every time I look to see what time it is, be it on the phone, PC, cycling computer or a clock on some building that I was passing.
It has freaked me out, not that I’m scared of time pieces or time passing, but in the kid of way that that something must be up.
Every time it have been the same, not like the time have been standing still, just it is the same time.
E.g. 14:14, 21:21, 10:10 02:02 etc.
It doesn’t happens once in a blue moon and I go “Snap, look at that”, no it is up to 2-3 times a day.
Is it time that is trying to tell me something or something more tinfoil hat conspiracy thing going on here ?

In my dream last night I was getting someone to run across a dried out lake in a forest in Denmark.
I woke up enough to to go “I’ll better check it out on Google Earth, because I can’t remember that there was ever a lake in that forest”.
For then to go back into the dream where I continued to use a garden hose to spray water on him so that he ran faster before we cycled down hill out of the forest which you can.
And when I woke up I checked it out on Google and sure enough there is no lake in that forest.

I don’t mind spam in that way, if they are sending out an email with offers for something, be it … earn extra cash from home, get your sex toys here, save money on drugs etc. As long as your links goes to a website that works, you might get an idiot clicking on that link and you might earn some money from that person. Yes by all means try to sell your product in any which way you fancy, I just let my spam filter take care of your email.
But why the heck send out a spam that just says …

I have cleaned up my blog and moved it from Blogger.com to wordpress. And in result of that I’m deleting some of my old bloggings, which haven’t got anything to do with what I’m doing now. But if you really want to see the old stuff do hunt down the old blog, shouldn’t be that hard with a bit of googling.
Though honestly it is not that interesting at all to read.
