Hopefully one day this site will list all the Local Bike Shops we have used when out touring or getting ready for our touring.

One thing I have learned is that if you contact the bicycle shop a few days before you need them there is a better change for them to have what you need and save you a unnecessary journey. Yes I know it will not always work that way :)

But when it comes to a bicycle cardboard box to pack your bicycle in before your flight home or onto the next leg of your tour. They quite often have them collected by the bin men or compress them up, as WeBike in Copenhagen do. And as Ciklo Planet in Split they were happy to safe keep two boxes for us, even they are in small store.

So a friendly call or email to the bicycle shop a couple of days before will secure that box to protect your bicycle.
